Days after more than 60 children died at Baba Raghav Das Medical College due to lack of oxygen supply, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Monday issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government terming the case as a serious violation of the Right to Life of patients.

The commission sought a detailed report from the government within four weeks.

The NHRC has also asked the UP Chief Secretary for a detailed report on the incident and also the steps taken for the relief of the victims’ families and action against officials held responsible in the incident, The Hindu reported.
