Masala Idli Recipe is an easy & quick south Indian recipe. Masala idli is Best option for leftovers Idlies. It is an easy way to make regular plain idlies interesting, they are not only for breakfast but they are absolutely wonderful for snack. Usually prepared as a breakfast fare with a good dose of lemon juice and fresh coriander as garnish.

Cooking Time - 10 Mins
Serves - 2

INGREDIENTS:

Vegetable Oil/Mustard Oil (2 tbps)
8-10 Left Over Idli (Cut into 4 Small Pieces)
Mustard Seed (1 tsp)
Salt (As per your taste)
Red Chilli Powder (1 tsp)
Kadi Patta (5- 6 Curry Leaves)
1 Finely Chopped Green Chilli
3 Large Finely Chopped Onions
4-5 Medium Size Finely Chopped Tomatoes
Kitchen King Masala (1 tsp)
Ketchup (3 tbps)
A few Coriander Leaves for garnishing


MASALA IDLI RECIPE:

* Heat a Cooking Pan (Kadhai)
* Pour 2 tbps oil in Pan
* Add 1 tsp Mustard Seed (Sarso ka dana)
* Next add Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
* Add Chopped Onions and Green Chilli
* Mix well until it turns and changes its color to Light Pink
* Add Chopped Tomatoes
* Keep stirring to prevent burning
* Add Salt and Red Chilli Powder (As per your taste)
* Now add Kitchen King (If you don’t like the taste of Kitchen King, you can avoid it)
* Pour Ketchup for strong tomato flavour
* It’s time to add the Idli pieces and mix well to ensure all get covered with the Tadka.
* Stir for about a minute.
* Add Lemon for flavour
* Add chopped fresh Coriander for garnishing.
* Masala Idli is ready to be served :)

Hindi MASALA IDLI RECIPE:

* एक कुकिंग पैन गरम करें
* पैन में 2 चम्मच तेल डालें
* 1 चम्मच सरसों का बीज डालें
* इसके बाद करी पत्तियां डालें
* कटा हुआ प्याज और हरी मिर्च डालें
* इसे तब तक अच्छे से मिलाएं जब तक इसका रंग बदलकर लाइट पिंक न हो जाए
* कटे हुए टमाटर डालें
* जलने से बचाने के लिए हिलाते रहें
* नमक और लाल मिर्च पाउडर डालें
* अब किचन किंग को डालें (अगर आपको किचन किंग पसंद नहीं है, आप इसे छोड़ सकते हैं)
* स्वाद के लिए टमाटर केचप डालो
* इडली के टुकड़ों को डालें और तड़के में अच्छी तरह मिलाएं
* लगभग एक मिनट के लिए मिलाएं।
* स्वाद के लिए नींबू डालें
* गार्निशिंग के लिए कटा हुआ ताजा धनिया डालें
* आपकी मसाला इडली परोसने के लिए तैयार है
