Crispy and Delicious Masala Idli is a breakfast recipe which is made from leftover idlis and can be eaten with Coconut chutney, Peanut chutney or Tomato Chutney.
Ingredients:
(Serves 4)
- 8 Idlis
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 8-10 Curry Leaves
- 1/2 tsp turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Method:
1. Take one freshly made or leftover idli and cut it into 3 pieces
2. Do the same with the remaining idli pieces and keep it aside
3. Now, heat a pan and add oil
4. Once the oil is heated, add mustard seeds and let it splutter
5. Now, add curry leaves to the pan, followed by the idli's which were kept aside
6. Mix it to make the idlis a little crispy
7. Now, turn the flame to low and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, and salt
8. Coat these idlis with the masalas which have been added
9. Take these idlis out and serve it
