North Korea is holding major party meetings to discuss its future policy direction.
Pyeongyang's state-run Korean Central News Agency reports... that Kim Jong-un presided the meeting of the ruling Workers' Party Central Committee's Politbureau on Tuesday.
He urged the officials to be (quote)"self-reliant," which is seen as an expression that refers to surviving the ongoing sanctions.
The agency says North Korean ruling party's central committee will hold a plenary meeting on Wednesday.
That meeting is expected to announce future policies on the economy and possibly denuclearization.
And these decisions will be ratified by the North's parliament -- the Supreme People's Assembly -- on Thursday.
