The YSR Congress Party has rejected the BJP's offer of the post of Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha as it does not want to be seen aligned with the BJP-led ruling NDA until the Narendra Modi government fulfil its demand of granting special status to Andhra Pradesh.YSR Congress, which is the fourth largest party with 22 members in the 17th Lok Sabha, wants to maintain equidistance from both the ruling and opposition sides, the leader told PTI."Opposition especially the Congress is also responsible for Andhra Pradesh not getting the special status tag. It bifurcated the state but did not give it special status. So we will also be maintaining distance from them too," the leader said

ఏపీ సీఎం జగన్ మోహన్ రెడ్డి కి బీజేపీ అధినాయకత్వం బంపర్ ఆఫర్ ఇచ్చిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. అయితే బిజెపి ఇచ్చిన ఆఫర్ ను ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి, వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెసు పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడు వైఎస్ జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి తిరస్కరించారు. వైసీపీతో దోస్తీ చెయ్యాలన్న ఉద్దేశంలో భాగంగా లోకసభ డిప్యూటీ స్పీకర్ పదవిని వైసిపికి ఇవ్వడానికి బిజెపి ముందుకు వచ్చింది. అయితే, తమకు ఆ పదవి వద్దంటూ జగన్ తిరస్కరించినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.అందుకు కారణం లేకపోలేదు .

ఏపీ ప్రజల స్వప్నంఏపీకి ప్రత్యేక హోదా .. ఇక జగన్ బీజేపీతో సఖ్యంగా ఉండాలనుకున్నా ప్రత్యేక హోదా ఇస్తేనే అది సాధ్యం. అలాగని జగన్ కు ఎన్డీయేతో గత ప్రభుత్వంలా ఘర్షణకు దిగే ఆలోచన లేదు. కానీ ఎలాగైనా ప్రతేక హోదా సాధించే లక్ష్యంతో ఉన్న జగన్ ఆచి తూచి నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంటున్నారు. అందుకే డిప్యూటీ స్పీకర్ పదవి ఇస్తామన్నా దాని వల్ల ఎలాంటి ప్రయోజనం ఉండదని భావించి జగన్ ఆ పదవి తీసుకోటానికి నిరాకరించారు. ప్రతేక హోదా ఇస్తామని చెప్తే బీజేపీ ఆఫర్ తీసుకోటానికి అభ్యంతరం లేదని చెప్పారు.
