The monsoon season has arrived in Korea, but those of us in Seoul dodged any major showers overnight.
Our Lee Jeehyun is at Cheonggyecheon Stream in downtown Seoul for us.
Jee-Hyun, we thought we'd get a soaking in Seoul last night, but it never materialized. What can we expect today?

Good morning Conn-young, yes.. Seoul only saw 2 millimeters of rainfall overnight and surrounding regions saw around the same or even less.
Those of us in the capital won't really need an umbrella this morning...it's just very humid with 94 percent humidity and warm with lots of cloud coverage. However, it's still raining in southern parts of the country. Let's talk more about those areas.

Most rain clouds have moved out. The Gyeongsang-do Provinces and their surrounding regions, including Busan, are seeing light rain, which is likely to continue through this afternoon.

A heavy rain advisory remains there, while an advisory has been lifted on Jeju. Hallasan mountain saw over 300 millimeters of rain, Changwon in Gyeongsangnam-do Province saw 180 millimeters and it's still raining there.....

and we are looking at more showers in the area. 10 to 40 more millimeters are in store, parts of Gangwon-do and Jeollabuk-do Province will see up to 10 millimeters through this afternoon.

Temperature-wise, it's a warm and humid start to the day..most regions getting up to 21 to 22 degrees this morning.

Daily highs in Seoul will be 30 degrees Celsius, Daegu will have highs nearly 6 degrees higher this afternoon at 29 degrees.

We could get unexpected showers anytime, especially down south. Make sure you have an umbrella handy.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.
