Good morning. After a scorching weekend with record breaking heat on Saturday in Seoul, the heat continues to linger for western parts of the country with a heat wave advisory in effect. Eastern regions, including Daegu, will continue to see highs in the mid-twenties.
Have a small umbrella handy, passing showers are in store for many inland regions,... while regions on the east and south coast as well as Jeju will see 5 to 20 millimeters of rainfall.
Overnight temperatures were comfortable and we have a breezy start to the day for most regions at 20 degrees in Seoul and Gwangju.
Top readings will be much more bearable for regions in the east and south as well as Jeju at 25 degrees. Central regions will have blistering one with high humidity.
Monsoon rain is in store for the mid-part of the week, that will bring the highs down a few notches.
