Congress leader Jairam Ramesh alleged that the government is amending the RTI Act as the Prime Minister is "taking revenge" for the disclosure in five cases directed under it which includes disclosure of demonetisation and regarding his educational qualifications.

सूचना के अधिकार संशोधन विधयेक को राज्यसभा से मंजूरी मिल गई है। बड़ी बात यह है कि कांग्रेस सांसद जयराम रमेश ने केंद्रीय सूचना आयोग के पांच आदेशों का जिक्र करते हुए मोदी सरकार को घेरा है। जयराम रमेश का आरोप है कि इन्हीं पांच आदेशों के कारण सरकार सूचना के अधिकार कानून में संशोधन किया।
