MANILA, Philippines – Serena Williams won her fourth consecutive tennis tour title as she thrashed former world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka to take the Italian Open. The American completely overpowered the Belarussian on the Rome clay. The 31-year-old Williams hit nine aces and 41 winners in the two sets played in bright sunshine.
