लोकसभा में नागरिकता संशोधन बिल पेश करने के लिए वोटिंग हुई. पेश करने के समर्थन में 293 सांसदों ने वोट दिया तो वहीं 82 सांसदों ने खिलाफ में वोट दिया... हालांकि अमित शाह ने सांसदों के विरोध का जवाब भी दिया. अमित शाह ने सदन को बताया कि आखिर इस बिल की जरुरत क्यों पड़ी
