The second phase of the lockdown is to continue until at least May 3, in which case the Ministry of Railways through its various railway kitchens has offered to supply 2.6 lakh meals daily to the district administrations and state governments. The Railway Ministry has informed the district administrations of the entire country that wherever they want, they can order food from the railway kitchen and can reach it to the needy.

कोरोना के चलते देश में लॉकडाउन को 3 मई तक बढ़ा दिया गया है. देश में जरूरी सेवाओं को छोड़कर सबकुछ बंद है. ऐसे में जरूरतमंदों के लिए बड़ी मात्रा में खाना पहुंचाया जा रहा है. इसमें भारतीय रेलवे भी मदद कर रही है. इस बीच रेलवे ने जिला प्रशासन और राज्य सरकारों को 2.6 लाख खाना रोजाना सप्लाई करने का ऑफर दिया है.
