Kadhi or karhi is a dish originating from the indian subcontinents . It consist of a thick gravy based on chickpea flour ( Besan ) , and contains vegetable / onion fritters ( pakora ) , to which dahi is added to give it a bit of sour taste . it is often eaten with boiled rice / Steamed Rice or roti .
Ingredients : Serves for 2 ( For kadhi )
Chickpea flour ( Besan ) : 3 cup
Dahi : 250 gm
Fenugreek seed : 1/2 tbsp
Ginger & Garlic & Green Chilly paste - 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder : 1 tbsp
Coriander powder : 1 tbsp
Garam masala / Hot spices Powder : 1/2 tbsp
salt : as per taste
oil : as required
For Pakode :
Besan :100 gm
Chopped Onion : 1 No
Salt : As required
Ginger , Garlic and Green chilly paste : 1 Tbsp
For tadka :
Cumin Seed ( Jeera ) : 1/3 tbsp
Fenugreek leaf ( kasoori Methi ) : 1/2 tbsp
Onion Chopped : 1 Medium
Chopped Tomato : 1 Medium
Red ChillY Whole : 3-4 No.
Green Chilly Whole : 1 No
Curry leaf : 10-12 leaf
Cooking oil : as Required
Salt : To taste
