Incessant rains have paralysed life in Mumbai and Hyderabad even as India Meteorological Department predicts that heavy showers will continue for at least next 24 hours. In Telangana, a holiday has been declared for all educational institutional for Friday and Saturday in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts due to heavy rains.
The authorities have closed down Mumbai-Goa highway following water logging caused by heavy rains in coastal Konkan region, traffic will be diverted.
