President Rodrigo Duterte held a meeting with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) on June 5, Friday and issues an order to expedite the release of government assistance and compensation to infected health workers and those who died of COVID-19. He also directs all appointed officials in the concerned government agencies to proactively assist their respective Cabinet Secretaries in order to speed up the release of compensation.
