The Emirates Cricket Board on Monday confirmed that they have received an official letter of intent from the BCCI and now they are waiting for the Indian Government's approval to shift the IPL 2020 to UAE. "We have received the (official) letter and now wait on the decision from the Indian Government which will ink the final deal. This is a massive movement of people and equipment and we now need to bring in the experts to discuss all aspects of UAE hosting the IPL.

आईपीएल के लिए हरी झंडी युएई सरकार की तरफ से भी दिखा दी गयी है. यानी 18 सितंबर से आईपीएल होने जा रहा है. और इस बात की पुष्टि हो चुकी है. इससे पहले बृजेश पटेल ने भी आईपीएल सीजन 13 होने की तारिख का एलान किया था. यूएई क्रिकेट ने अपने ट्विटर हैंडल पर एक प्रेस रिलीज के साथ इसकी जानकारी दी है. यूएई क्रिकेट बोर्ड के चेयरमैन मुबासिर उस्मानी ने कहा, ''हमें लीग के आयोजन को लेकर बसीसीआई का आधिकारिक पत्र मिल गया है. हम अब भारतीय सरकार की मंजूरी का इंतजार कर रहे हैं. जैसे ही मंजूरी मिलती है इसे अंतिम रूप दे दिया जाएगा."
