The government may increase the fine for movement control order (MCO) violations, as the current RM1,000 rate is low compared to neighboring regions, says Senior MinisterDatuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Ismail, who is also Defence Minister said that on Friday, adding that the government would probably instruct the Health Ministry to hold discussions with the Attorney General's Chambers on the possibly of increasing the compound so it will be an effective deterrent.
