Pitrupaksha will start from 1 September. Although the ancestors are offered on the new moon day of every month, but the time of Pitru Paksha is completely dedicated to the fathers. The offering of ancestors in the Shraddh results in virtuous results and blessings of ancestors. Shraddha refers to reverence to the ancestors. In the scriptures, Shraddha has been considered very important for the peace of the ancestors. It is said that the offering of ancestors brings peace to their souls and they are happy and provide blessings of happy life.

पितृपक्ष की शुरूआत 1 सितंबर से होगी. वैसे तो हर माह की अमावस्या पर पितरों का तर्पण किया जाता है लेकिन पितृ पक्ष का समय पूरी तरह से पितरों को समर्पित है. श्राद्ध में पितरों का तर्पण करने से पुण्य फल की प्राप्ति होती है और पितरों का आशीर्वाद भी मिलता है. श्राद्ध का तात्पर्य पितरों के प्रति प्रकट की जाने वाली श्रद्धा से है. पितरों की आत्मा की शांति के लिए शास्त्रों में श्राद्ध बहुत महत्व माना गया है. कहा जाता है कि पितरों का तर्पण करने से उनकी आत्मा को शांति मिलती है और वे प्रसन्न होकर सुखी जीवन का आशीर्वाद प्रदान करते हैं.
