August 6, 2019, marks the 74th anniversary of the horrific nuclear attack in Japan's Hiroshima. On this day, in 1945, the United States of America dropped the world's first-ever atomic bomb with nuclear warheads. The catastrophic assault ended up killing 80,000 civilians and left nearly 200,000 injured. Three days later, the US dropped another nuclear bomb in the nearby town of Nagasaki, which led to the loss of another 40,000 lives.
