Maharashtra's Minister of Social and Justice Dhananjay Munde denied the allegation of by the woman and said he had links with the woman in 2003. In a post on Facebook, the NCP leader claimed that the woman and her sister were trying to blackmail him and extort money from him. Munde said that in November 2020, he also complained to the police in this regard.

महाराष्ट्र के सामाजिक और न्याय मंत्री धनंजय मुंडे ने महिला द्वारा लगाए गए दुष्‍कर्म के आरोप का खंडन किया और कहा कि 2003 में उक्‍त महिला से उनके संबंध थे। फेसबुक पर एक पोस्ट में, एनसीपी नेता ने दावा किया कि महिला और उसकी बहन उन्‍हें ब्लैकमेल करने और उससे पैसे ऐंठने की कोशिश कर रही हैं। मुंडे ने बताया कि नवंबर 2020 में उन्‍होंने पुलिस को इस संबंध में शिकायत भी की थी।
