Afew days ago, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Chief Economist Gita Gopinath said that reforms should be a key agenda for the Indian government, especially in areas such as agriculture and infrastructure. Gopinath, who is among one of the many economists who have asked the government to keep spending more towards economic recovery, recently said there are two areas where she wants the government to focus in the upcoming Union Budget 2021.

अंतरराष्ट्रीय मुद्राकोष की मुख्य अर्थशास्त्री गीता गोपीनाथ ने कहा कि कोविड-19 महामारी के बीच अगर उदार नीतिगत सहायता को कम किया जाता है, ये भारत के लिये नुकसानदायक होगा. साथ ही उन्होंने अगले सप्ताह पेश किये जाने वाले बजट में गैर-जरूरी खर्चों में कमी लाने पर भी जोर दिया. उन्होंने भारत के नए कृषि कानूनों को लेकर कहा कि जब भी कोई सुधार होता है तो उसकी एक कीमत होती है. ऐसे में यह सुनिश्चित करना जरूरी है कि छोटे और कमजोर किसानों को सामाजिक सुरक्षा मिल सके
