कंधे की चोट के कारण इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ एकदिवसीय श्रृंखला के आखिरी दो मैच और इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग से बाहर होने वाले भारतीय बल्लेबाज श्रेयस अय्यर की सर्जरी आठ अप्रैल को होगी। यह 26 साल का खिलाड़ी पुणे में 23 मार्च को खेले गए पहले एकदिवसीय में जॉनी बेयरस्टो के शॉट को डाइव लगाकर रोकने के प्रयास में चोटिल हुआ था।अय्यर लगभग चार महीने तक खेल से दूर रहेंगे। चोटिल होने के बाद वह काफी दर्द में दिखे और उन्हें मैदान से बाहर जाना पड़ा। इस मामले की जानाकरी रखने वाले एक सूत्र ने पीटीआई से कहा, 'श्रेयस अय्यर के चोटिल कंधे का आठ अप्रैल को ऑपरेशन होगा।'

India batsman Shreyas Iyer is set to undergo surgery on April 8 for his shoulder injury which had ruled him out of the last two ODIs against England and the entire IPL.The 26-year old Iyer had suffered the injury during the first ODI against England in Pune on March 23 when he dived on a drive hit by Jonny Bairstow off pacer Shardul Thakur.He looked in tremendous pain as he left the field clutching his shoulder.
