Brad Stevens was interviewed pregame before the Celtics game vs the Chicago Bulls. He gave an injury update on the team, spoke about Daniel Theis and Javonte Green, and talked about the supposed offer he got to coach at Indiana University.
There were tons of players listed on the injury report for this game including Evan Fournier, Robert Williams, Kemba Walker, and Marcus Smart. “Fournier is out still, Rob Williams is out still,” said Stevens. “Kemba is out and Marcus… I’ve been told he’s likely… he’s probably going to play.”
Stevens also talked about the return of Daniel Theis and Javonte Green to TD Garden. “Both of them are terrific teammates and terrific guys,” he stated. Both Theis and Green were traded to the Bulls at the trade deadline this year.
It was reported that Indiana University offered Stevens a 10-year, $70 million offer to coach there. “Well first of all I was never offered a package,” said Stevens. “I was never offered that.”
