World Press Freedom Day 2021: How much is freedom of press in India, why is it important? There are discussions around the world about the freedom of the press. In democracy, it is called the fourth pillar. In many countries of the world, the symbol of the right to freedom of press i.e. expression is not freedom and people are kept away from the right to access the right information.

प्रेस की स्वतंत्रता को लेकर दुनिया भर में चर्चाएं होती हैं. लोकतंत्र में तो उसे चौथा स्तंभ कहा जाता है. दुनिया के कई देशों में प्रेस यानि अभव्यक्ति की आजादी के अधिकार के प्रतीक को आजादी नहीं हैं और लोगों को सही जानकारी तक पहुंचने के अधिकार से दूर रखा जाता है.
