The International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) said it is not the sole arbiter of which firms can operate during the total lockdown period.
Its minister Azmin Ali (above) explained that various ministries were involved in vetting applications through Miti’s Covid-19 intelligent management system (CIMS 3.0).
“Fifteen ministries use the CIMS 3.0 system to expedite the process of vetting applications for approval to operate under their respective sectors.
“After these ministries verify these applications, these companies in question will be able to print their approval letters through CIMS 3.0," he said in a statement today.
