The two-day mega exercise is another step in the growing operational cooperation between the Indian and US militaries. The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Navy are participating in the exercise with a US carrier strike group (CSG) in the Indian Ocean. The exercise is being carried out south of Thiruvananthapuram, on the western seaboard. The exercise also comes a month after China and Pakistan conducted aerial exercise in Tibet.
