The Reserve Bank (RBI) changed the rules regarding bank lockers. These changes will have a direct impact on the customers who use the lockers. Under the new guidelines, the liability of the bank towards the locker in cases of fire, theft, building collapse and fraud by bank employees is up to 100 times its annual rent. will be limited. The new guidelines of the Reserve Bank will be implemented with effect from January 1, 2022. This guideline of RBI will be applicable to both new and old bank customers who have taken locker facility in the bank.

Reserve Bank Of India (RBI) ने bank lockers को लेकर नियमों में बदलाव किया ,. इन बदलावों का सीधा असर उन ग्राहकों पर पड़ेगा जो लॉकर्स का इस्तेमाल करते हैं.नए दिशानिर्देशों के तहत आग लगने की घटना, चोरी, इमारत ढहने तथा बैंक कर्मचारियों द्वारा धोखाधड़ी के मामलों में लॉकर को लेकर बैंक का दायित्व उसके सालाना किराये के 100 गुना तक सीमित रहेगा. रिजर्व बैंक की नई गाइडलाइन 1 जनवरी 2022 से प्रभावी रूप से लागू हो जाएगी।आरबीआई की यह गाइडलाइन नए और पुराने दोनों ही बैंक के ग्राहों पर लागू होगी जिन्होंने बैंक में लॉकर की सुविधा ले रखी है।
