Ryarsh residents to soon find out whether council will scrap quarry plans

Residents in Ryarsh will soon find out whether plans for a huge quarry in the area will be scrapped for good.

Last week planners at the council revealed they wanted to withdraw Ryarsh as a possibility for the massive site but the developer lodged an appeal.

Thousands have signed a petition against the proposals.

A decision on the quarry will be made by the cabinet at the Council next Thursday.
