Farmer leader Gurnam Singh has alleged a nexus between the Punjab government, police and administration in connection to illegal sand mining in Chamkaur Sahib. "Local politicians from Chamkaur Sahib are involved (in illegal sand mining). CMs and MLAs are complicit in this. The administration and police are also involved in this issue. We haven't seen proof of this connection but it must be probably linked to the Chief Minister and hence this has not stopped," he said.
