Whatever food we eat, it goes through a tube through the mouth to the stomach. That tube is called the esophagus. Another name for esophagus is also the food pipe. This tube acts as a bridge between the throat and the stomach, through which food travels first through the small intestine, then through the large intestine to the kidney. This is a very complex process. The food eaten goes through a long process before being digested and providing the necessary essential elements to the body and the waste part of it goes out of the body

हम जो भी भोजन करते हैं, वो एक नली के द्वारा मुंह से होकर पेट तक जाता है. उस नली को इसोफेगस कहते हैं. इसोफेगस का दूसरा नाम भोजन नली भी है. यह नली गले और पेट के बीच एक तरह से पुल का काम करती है, जिससे होकर भोजन पहले छोटी आंत, फिर बड़ी आंत से होता हुआ किडनी तक की यात्रा तय करता है. यह एक बेहद जटिल प्रक्रिया होती है. खाया गया भोजन पचना शरीर को आवश्यक जरूरी तत्व प्रदान करने और उसका वेस्‍ट हिस्‍सा शरीर से बाहर निकलने से पहले एक लंबी प्रक्रिया से गुजरता है.
