Ketereh MP Annuar Musa said only Umno's top leadership have the authority to comment on when the election should be held.

He said this after Umno supreme council member Mohd Puad Zarkashi blasted him for rejecting calls for the general election to be expedited because he thinks the current government was in a stable situation.

Puad said that Annuar, who is also the communications and multimedia minister, should not underestimate the wisdom of the people in opting for a stable government.
