पीकविमा योजनेतून योग्य नुकसान भरपाई मिळत नाही, हे शेतकरी पहिल्या वर्षापासून सांगत होते. पण केंद्र सरकार योजनेचा शेतकऱ्यांना कसा फायदा होतो, हे सांगत आलं. शेतकऱ्यांना कमी प्रिमियममध्ये किती भरपाई मिळाली, हे अनेकदा सरकरानं सांगितलं. पण पीकविमा योजनेतून फक्त कंपन्यांचीच घरं भरल्याचं आता सरकारनंही मान्य केलंय. २०१६ पासून जून २०२२ पर्यंत पीकविमा कंपन्यांना तब्बल ४० हजार कोटींचा फायदा झाला, असं सरकारनं राज्यसभेत सांगितलं.
