हर साल कार्तिक मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्थी तिथि के दिन सुहागिन महिलाएं पति की लंबी आयु, स्वस्थ्य जीवन और सुखी वैवाहिक जीवन के लिए व्रत रखती हैं। इस दिन महिलाएं सूर्योदय से पहले सरगी खाकर दिनभर निर्जला व्रत रखती हैं और शाम को चंद्रमा के दर्शन, अर्घ्य करने के साथ विधिवत पूजा करने के बाद ही व्रत खोलती है।करवा चौथ के दिन भगवान शिव और पार्वती की पूजा की जाती है और रात को चंद्र देव के दर्शन करने के बाद व्रत खोला जाता है। इस दिन करवा चौथ की थाली का बहुत अधिक महत्व है। इसका इस्तेमाल करके ही पूजा की जाती है। जानिए करवा चौथ की थाली में कौन-कौन सी चीजें होनी चाहिए।
