While we await Season Three of Netflix series "Bridgerton," we focus the spotlight on its prequel spinoff which is set to hit the streaming service on May 4th.

"Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story" follows the rise to prominence and power of the young Queen Charlotte. A novel based on the six-episode series co-authored by Julia Quinn and Shonda Rhimes, will also be released on May 9th.

We got to speak with renowned showrunner Shonda Rhimes. She tells how the spinoff came to be and what's so fascinating about Queen Charlotte's story.
