The Welsh government say they will press ahead with their refundable bottles and cans recycling plan despite not having Westminster sign off on the project. The UK Government have already blocked a similar plan in Scotland which has since been delayed, but welsh climate minister Julie James says they take the UK government to task.
The DVLA have warned of delays to driving licenses after staff at an office in Swansea started a 15 day strike. The PCS union say roughly 100 workers will take industrial action over pay, pensions and conditions. They say some workers are only paid £18,000 a year and want a 10% pay increase for staff.
A runner has become just the fourth man to beat a horse in the annual man vs horse race in Llanwrtyd Wells in Powys. The 22 mile race started after a discussion in a local pub, but has since attracted hundreds of runners every year. Winner Daniel Connelly beat the winning horse by about 10 minutes.
