Trump: Auto tariffs will be 25 percent, predicts new car plants in US

US President Donald Trump says on Feb. 18 that auto tariffs will be around 25 percent, with more details to come on April 2. He also noted that major car and chip companies have approached his administration, suggesting new car plants are likely to be built in the United States.
