Waiting until 40 days old for another irrigation makes sense if the soil is still moist and the weather is favorable.

On the 40th day, the height can reach 100 cm, the leaves are wider, and the plants begin to enter the early generative phase, so sufficient irrigation (5-10 mm) will help the development of the cobs.
