Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his gratitude to President Vladimir Putin for the rare honour of meeting and holding comprehensive discussions aimed at elevating bilateral ties to a significantly higher level.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Moscow on Wednesday (May 14), Anwar also reaffirmed that Russia remains a close friend of Malaysia, with diplomatic relations between the two countries established since 1967.
