Thailand’s parliament elected Bhumjaithai Party leader Anutin Charnvirakul as the new prime minister on Friday (Sept 5).
The 58-year-old politician won a parliamentary majority after being backed by a Bhumjaithai-led coalition and the opposition People’s Party.
