నైరుతి బంగాళాఖాతం మరియు దానికి ఆనుకుని ఉన్న ఉత్తర తమిళనాడు-పుదుచ్చేరి తీరాల మీదుగా నున్న తీవ్ర వాయుగుండం ( నిన్నటి దిత్వా తుఫాను అవశేషము ) గడచిన 6 గంటల్లో 05 కి.మీ వేగంతో ఉత్తరం వైపు నెమ్మదిగా కదులుతూ ఈరోజు 0830 గంటలకు గంటలకు నైరుతి బంగాళాఖాతం,సరిహద్దు పశ్చిమ మధ్యబంగాళాఖాతం ,ఉత్తర తమిళనాడు-పుదుచ్చేరి & దక్షిణ ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ తీరాలు మరియు 12.8° ఉత్తర అక్షాంశం మరియు రేఖాంశం 80.6°తూర్పు రేఖాంశం, చెన్నైకి తూర్పు-ఆగ్నేయంగా 50 కిమీ (భారతదేశం), పుదుచ్చేరికి ఈశాన్యంగా 130 కిమీ (భారతదేశం), కడలూర్‌కు ఈశాన్యంగా 150 కిమీ, నెల్లూరు కు దక్షిణ ఆగ్నేయముగా 200 కిమీ దూరములో కేంద్రీకృతమై ఉన్నది.ఉత్తర తమిళనాడు-పుదుచ్చేరి తీరాల నుండి వాయుగుండ కేంద్రానికి కనీసం 40 కి.మీ. దూరములో మరియు తమిళనాడు-పుదుచ్చేరి మరియు దక్షిణ ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ తీరాలకు సమాంతరంగా ఉత్తరం వైపు నెమ్మదిగా ప్రయాణించి , రాగల 12 గంటల్లో వాయుగుండముగా బలహీనపడే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఈ తీవ్ర వాయుగుండం ఈరోజు, డిసెంబర్ 01 మధ్యాహ్నం నాటికి చెన్నై తీరం నుండి కనీసం 30 కి.మీ దూరంలో నైరుతి & ఆనుకుని ఉన్న పశ్చిమ మధ్య బంగాళాఖాతంలో కేంద్రీకృతమై ఉంటుంది.

The remnant system of Cyclone Dithwa continues to hover close to the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and South Andhra Pradesh coasts.
