Fresh border clashes erupted Monday (Dec 8) between Thailand and Cambodia, prompting Thai airstrikes and leaving at least one Thai soldier dead and several civilians injured.

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said Thailand does not seek violence but will defend its sovereignty, while Cambodia accused Thailand of aggression and called for international condemnation.
