Ban on sale of northern NSW green prawns a 'death knell' for industry

Fishers in northern New South Wales have warned the state government an extension of ban on uncooked prawns could be the death of their industry. Prawns caught in the Clarence, Evans and Richmond rivers will have to be boiled for another five years over concerns of white spot disease. The government is offering those affected a multi-million dollar buy-out but many say it won't be enough.
