Circus — Circus 1976 (Switzerland, Progressive Rock)
The debut album of this Basel quartet remains unknown to most progressive rock fans. While enjoying some success in Switzerland, they released only three studio albums. The musicians took an unusual approach to instrumentation. While they didn't use keyboards until 1978, they nevertheless achieved extensive polyphony. The album was recorded in April 1976 at Studio Harald Blobel in Bottmingen. The band's self-titled debut was solid in every respect.
