उन्नाव मामले में कुलदीप सिंह सेंगर को दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट से बड़ा झटका लगा है।हाईकोर्ट ने पीड़िता के पिता की हिरासत में मौत के मामले में सज़ा निलंबन की याचिका खारिज कर दी।न्यायालय ने कहा कि सज़ा पर रोक लगाने के लिए कोई नया आधार सामने नहीं आया है।न्यायमूर्ति रविंदर दुडेजा ने सेंगर के आपराधिक इतिहास पर भी गंभीर टिप्पणी की।अदालत ने उनकी लंबी जेल अवधि को स्वीकार किया,लेकिन स्पष्ट किया कि अपील की सुनवाई गुण-दोष के आधार पर होगी।यह सज़ा निलंबन के लिए सेंगर की दूसरी कोशिश थी।इससे पहले जून 2024 में भी उनकी याचिका खारिज की जा चुकी है।इस फैसले से उन्नाव मामले में सेंगर की कानूनी मुश्किलें और बढ़ गई हैं।

Kuldeep Singh Sengar has suffered a major setback in the Unnao case.The Delhi High Court rejected his plea seeking suspension of sentence.The case relates to the custodial death of the Unnao Rape survivor’s father.The Court said no new grounds were presented to justify relief.Justice Ravinder Dudeja also noted Sengar’s criminal antecedents.While acknowledging his long incarceration, the Court refused a stay.This was Sengar’s second attempt to seek suspension of sentence.Earlier, a similar plea had been dismissed in June 2024.The ruling further tightens legal pressure on the former MLA.
