Arts Ambassador Catriona Gray encourages artists to find purpose, reason in creation
National Commission for Culture and the Arts Ambassador—and Miss Universe 2018—Catriona Gray says artworks should not be created solely to get public approval. Speaking at the National Arts Month press conference on Jan. 20, Gray encouraged artists not to be dismayed if their art works do not receive many likes and shares on social media. She noted that the inherent value of art should be anchored in the artist's purpose and the reason why they created it in the first place.
