Senior ally of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and CDU parliamentary leader Jens Spahn strongly criticised U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff threats and remarks on Greenland, calling them “unacceptable” within the NATO alliance. He also highlighted the urgency of focusing NATO efforts on the war in Ukraine, warning of continued Russian attacks on Kyiv.
