माघ मेला में मौनी अमावस्या के स्नान पर्व पर स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद की शोभायात्रा पर रोक के बाद पनपे विवाद में एक नया मोड़ आ गया है। माघ मेला प्राधिकरण ने स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद को नोटिस भेजकर जवाब मांगा है कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट की रोक के बावजूद उन्होंने अपने नाम के आगे ‘शंकराचार्य’ क्यों लगाया है?
