Saif al-Islam, the son of Muammar Gaddafi was captured in Libya's southern desert with several thousand dollars on him, on Saturday. While he vowed to die fighting, militia members say he surrendered without incident.
This video shows the 39-year-old son of the fallen leader as he was being transported to Zintan to be handed over to authorities.
On board the cargo plane, the younger Gaddafi told Reuters he was "OK" and that his hand was bandaged due to wounds from a NATO air strike a month ago.
His future is still unclear. While there has been talk of trying him before the International Criminal Court --- many Libyans would like to see him tried at home.
ICC Prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo.
SOUNDBITE: ICC Prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo saying :
"I am going to Libya to discuss the issue, how we'll manage this issue. The news is, Saif will face justice. Where and how, that we'll discuss it. I know the case we present at the ICC, I have to learn about what they have there, and then we'll discuss it. But we'll be in harmony to be sure that Libyan people have to know Saif will face justice."
News of his capture prompted celebrations in Benghazi and Tripoli.
