Libya's new leaders have been given more time to answer questions about deposed leader Muammar Gaddafi's son, Saif al-Islam.

Saif al-Islam has been held captive since November, without much access to the outside world. The International Criminal Court wants to know how he is being treated and if he should stand trial in the Hague.

The ICC says it does not know whether Saif al-Islam was arrested because of its warrant, or whether he has had access to a lawyer. The court also wants to know about his physical and mental state, and this has raised questions about Libya's ability to try this case.

The capture of Saif al-Islam was a big victory for the Zintan brigade, who have gone to great lengths to prove their city is secure and their most prized prisoner is being treated fairly.

Al Jazeera's Imran Khan reports from Zintan.
