Hey what’s up guys? Today’s question is about half squats. That we have some people say, why do you do half squats and why do you do half squats. For the record I do half squats, I do full squats, and I do all manner, I do front squats, I do lots of different squats.

Today is about the half squat, so I don’t even like to call it half squat, I like to call it the jump specific squat, so it’s not going to be the same for everybody, it doesn’t mean everybody is going to go down to say in a 45 degree angle or whatever. What it means is you go down to the joint angle that would be the same joint angle you are going to jump with. So what I mean is let’s say you are going to go up for a dunk, well pause it right before you jump, and you will notice your knees are at a certain angle and that your hips are at a certain angle, that is the angle we are going for in this particular type of squat.
