Syrian state TV claims a car bomb has exploded in central Damascus. The blast reportedly injured at least three people.

Al Jazeera's Rula Amin reporting from Beirut, in the capital of neighbouring Lebanon, says the opposition is accusing the Syrian government of "manipulated explosion by the government to show the UN observers that there are terrorist groups in the country."
